Established in 2016, the college aims to provide quality medical education to students and to contribute to healthcare as well as medical research. The college is affiliated with Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, and offers undergraduate courses such as the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and postgraduate courses like Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS). The college has appointed experienced and qualified faculty, who impart education and training to students. WCMSR has a well-equipped library, lecture halls, laboratories, and a hospital. The hospital is a 800-bed facility equipped with modern medical equipment and technology. It provides specialized medical facilities in various departments like cardiology, nephrology, urology, neurology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, oncology, gynecology, obstetrics  Candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria specified by the NTA to appear for NEET. The eligibility criteria include:

- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Candidates must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology with English as a compulsory subject.
- Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology combined (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates, and 45% for PWD candidates).
