Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences, located in Palghar, Maharashtra, is a newly established medical college and hospital that offers quality medical education to students. It was established in 2017 and is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences, Palghar, Maharashtra, admits students to its MBBS program based on the scores obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NEET is a national-level medical entrance examination conducted once a year for admission to MBBS/BDS programs in medical colleges across India.
The eligibility criteria for appearing for NEET is as follows:
- The candidate should be an Indian citizen or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
- The candidate should be at least 17 years of age as of December 31 of the admission year.
- The maximum age limit for the general category is 25 years, while it is 30 years for the reserved categories.
- The candidate should have passed (or appeared for) the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.
- The candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories) in the 10+2 examination.
- NEET consists of 180 objective-type questions, with 45 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. The duration of the exam is three hours, with negative marking for incorrect answers.
