SRM Institute of Science and Technology (commonly known as SRMIST) is a deemed-to-be-university located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 1985 as an engineering college and later gained deemed-to-be-university status in 2002. The institute is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an 'A++' grade and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) SRMIST offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various disciplines such as Engineering, Management, Medicine, Science, Architecture, and Humanities. It has four campuses: Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani, and NCR (National Capital Region). The institute has tie-ups with several international universities, such as MIT, UCL, and RMIT, for collaborative research, student exchange programs, and academic collaborations.  The campus is spread over an area of 250 acres and is equipped with world-class infrastructure facilities. The institute has modern classrooms, air-conditioned lecture halls, well-equipped laboratories, libraries, sports facilities, hostels, medical facilities, and other amenities.
