Sri Muthukumaran Medical College (SMMC) offers an undergraduate program in Medicine - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course, which is a five and a half year full-time course that includes a one-year compulsory rotational internship. The MBBS program is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University  The college campus is spread across 25 acres of land and has state-of-the-art infrastructure. It has spacious classrooms, well-equipped labs, an extensive library, and a modern hospital with a capacity of 750 beds. The hospital caters to patients in various specialties, including Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology SMMC offers undergraduate courses in medicine, including a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program. The duration of the MBBS program is five and a half years, which includes a one-year internship in the hospital attached to the college  Admission to the MBBS program is through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Eligible candidates are admitted based on their NEET score and merit rank during the counseling sessions conducted by the college.
