Sri Basaveshwara Institute of Technology, also known as SBIT, is an engineering college in Tumkur, Karnataka. It was established in 2008 by Sri Basaveshwara Educational Society, with a vision to provide quality technical education to the rural students. SBIT offers various courses in engineering, pharmacy, nursing, and science at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Some of the popular courses are BE, B.Pharma, M.Sc, and B.Sc (Nursing). SBIT is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by AICTE, UGC, INC, and PCI.
