Saveetha Medical College (SMC) is a private medical college located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 2008 and is affiliated with the Saveetha University. SMC is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI)  The college has a modern infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories, dissection halls, and research facilities. SMC's teaching hospital, Saveetha Medical College Hospital, is a 1,200-bed multi-specialty hospital equipped with all the modern and advanced medical facilities  SMC offers an undergraduate program in medicine (MBBS) with a duration of 5.5 years, including a one-year internship period. The college also offers postgraduate programs with specializations in various fields of medicine such as General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, e MBBS at Saveetha Medical College need to appear for the NEET examination and qualify the same with minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for admission. The NEET examination consists of 180 multiple-choice questions, with a total duration of 3 hours. The syllabus for the exam includes Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
