Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, or RTMNU, is a public state university in Nagpur, Maharashtra. It was established in 1923 and is one of the oldest universities in India. It is named after Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj, a spiritual leader from Vidarbha. It offers various courses in arts, science, commerce, law, engineering, and technology. It has 39 postgraduate departments and three constituent colleges on seven campuses The university has a highly qualified and experienced faculty, with most of them holding Ph.D. degrees. The faculty members undertake research projects funded by various national and international agencies such as the Department of Science and Technology, the University Grants Commission, and the World Bank. The university has several research centers, such as the Center for Dalit Studies, the Center for Women's Studies, and the Center for High Energy Physics, to name a few RTMNU has a sprawling campus with state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure, including well-equipped laboratories, classrooms, conference rooms, and seminar halls.
