The college offers a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program that is of 5.5 years duration, including a 1-year internship. The course curriculum is designed as per the guidelines of the Medical Council of India (MCI) and provides a comprehensive knowledge of pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical subjects.The college has modern infrastructure with well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, library, and clinical facilities. It also has an associated teaching hospital - Sri Bhausaheb Hire Government Medical College Hospital, which has a capacity of 600 beds.The NEET exam is conducted in the month of May every year, and the application process generally starts in December/January. The exam consists of 180 multiple-choice questions from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.To be eligible to appear for the NEET exam, the candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination in the science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. The candidate must have also scored a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam (45% for the reserved category).
