National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education And Research - [NIPER] is a group of seven institutes of national importance in India that offer higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences. The first NIPER was established in 1998 at S.A.S. Nagar, Punjab, and is considered the mentor institute for the other six NIPERs. The other NIPERs are located in Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Hajipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Raebareli. The NIPERs offer various courses in pharmacy, such as M.S. (Pharm.), M.Pharm., M.Tech. (Pharm.), MBA (Pharm.), Ph.D. and post-doctoral fellowships. The NIPERs are also involved in various research projects funded by national and international agencies. The NIPERs are governed by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. For more information
