Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS) is a premier medical institute located in Sevagram, Wardha, Maharashtra. Established in 1969, it is an autonomous institute that is run by the Kasturba Health Society and is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS). MGIMS is named after Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, who had founded a hospital in Sevagram in 1930. Courses Offered: MGIMS offers several medical courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The courses are as follows:
Admission Procedure: Admission to the MBBS program at MGIMS is based on the score obtained in the MGIMS-Wardha All India Entrance Examination conducted by the institute. The exam consists of a written test followed by an interview. The admissions for the MD/MS programs are based on the scores obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduates (NEET-PG) conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). The selection for the DCP course is done on the basis of merit.
