Established in 1995, the institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses. The institute is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) and is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) Courses offered:
MIMER offers a variety of medical courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The courses are as follows:

•  Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS): It is a five-and-a-half-year undergraduate program that includes a one-year compulsory internship.
•  Doctor of Medicine (MD): It is a three-year postgraduate program with various specializations such as Anatomy, General Medicine, Pediatrics, Radiology, Dermatology, Anesthesia, etc.
• Master of Surgery (MS): It is a three-year postgraduate program with specializations in General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, etc.
• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT): It is a one-year diploma program that trains students in laboratory techniques and procedures related to medical science.
•  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing): It is a four-year undergraduate program that trains students in various aspects of nursing and healthcare.

Admission Procedure:
Admission to the MBBS program is based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) score conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The admissions for the MD/MS programs are based on the scores obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduates (NEET-PG) conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).  The selection for the nursing and DMLT courses is done on the basis of merit.
