Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College (MRMC) is a well-known medical college situated in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. Established in 1963, MRMC is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Initially named Gulbarga Medical College, it was renamed in honour of Sri. Mahadevappa Rampure, a social worker, and a philanthropist who donated a significant amount to establish the college. The CET examination is conducted annually, typically in June. It is a state-level exam that tests the student's knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. The examination consists of four different papers with 60 questions each, and each paper is of 80 marks. To be eligible for the exam, the candidate must have completed 17 years of age as of December 31 of the year of admission and must have passed the qualifying examination (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. The college is spread over 63 acres of land, providing a peaceful atmosphere for the education and development of students.
