Kumaraguru College of Technology was established in 1984 by Ramanandha Adigalar Foundation, a charitable educational trust. Autonomy and Affiliation KCT gained autonomous status in 2007, allowing it to  design and frame its own curricula. It is affiliated with Anna University, Coimbatore Accreditation and Recognition The college is accredited by the National Board of 
Accreditation (NBA) and the National Assessment and  Accreditation Council (NAAC). It has been awarded an 'A' grade by NAAC Academic  The college encourages research activities and has 
research centers focusing on advanced studies and  innovations in various disciplines.Infrastructure KCT's campus is equipped with modern infrastructure  including well-equipped classrooms, laboratories  libraries, hostels, and sports facilities Placements The college has a dedicated placement cell that  facilitates job placements for students.
