Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science - [HITS] Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science was  founded in 1985 

by Dr. K.C.G. Verghese. It started  as Hindustan College of Engineering and later  gained deemed university status in 2008. Accreditation and Recognition The university is accredited by the National  Board of Accreditation (NBA) and has been granted 'A'  grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation  Council (NAAC). It is recognized as a Deemed-to-be- University by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
