Established in 2018, the college is the newest medical institute in Maharashtra and has been named in honor of Dr. Rajendra Gode, a renowned social worker and medical practitioner.The college has a 750 bedded hospital that provides advanced healthcare services to patients from Amravati and surrounding areas. The hospital is equipped with modern medical equipment and has a team of experienced doctors, surgeons, and medical staff  Admissions to the MBBS program at Dr. Rajendra Gode Medical College are done strictly through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
